Higg Co UX & Design
Summary
The Sustainable Apparel Coalition has spent years developing the Higg Index, the industry-leading value chain measurement methodology that helps brands to measure and improve their social and environmental impacts. In 2019 they split the technology product off from from SAC to be it’s own entity — and the newly minted Higg Co* approached me to help establish the new brand and website.

*Higg Co rebranded in 2023 to Worldly after further restructuring.
To kick off the project, I facilitated a workshop to define our objectives, users, and more.
I took our findings from the workshop and turned them into a Discovery Report.
Next I created variations for sitemaps and lo-fi wireframes for group discussion and alignment.
I turned our rough ideas and discussions into higher fidelity wireframes
Next I turned to the visual design. Higg Co had a logo, but not much else to start from. I began exploring ways to create the system to fit the brand and logo.
Final style direction, after rounds of feedback and revision
From there, I designed the website’s key pages and templates for a variety of breakpoints.
After the build and QA process, I translated the visual design decisions into a brand guidelines document.
